IRT Cronista adds the Thermo Reports tab to the Microsoft Word ribbon. Use its commands to edit generated reports, create reports manually, and design report templates.

3 thermo reports tab

The available commands depend on whether you are working with a generated report or a report template and on the current selection.

If the Thermo Reports tab is not available, see Troubleshooting reporting problems.

Report Sections group

A report section associates infrared images with their related pictures, graphs, fields, and tables. Report elements in one section cannot use an infrared image from another section.

Command

Purpose

Browse for Images

Opens IRT Cronista for the current section of a generated report. It opens the linked infrared image when available or lets you select an image for a section with empty report placeholders. See Editing generated reports.

New Section

Inserts a section break at the cursor and starts the new section on the next page.

Delete Section

Removes the current section and its report content. The source infrared image is not deleted and remains stored separately from the report document.

Duplicate

Inserts a cleared copy of the current section immediately after it. Use this command to reuse a section layout for another infrared image.

Previous

Moves the cursor to the previous section.

Next

Moves the cursor to the next section.

Template Data group

Use these commands to define or change data that is stored with the complete report or report template.

Command

Purpose

Notations > Link Notations

Stores a selected notations set in the document and makes its notations available for report fields and tables.

Notations > Edit Notations

Analysis Template: Links or removes image analysis stored as the analysis template in a report template. This command is available only while editing a report template. See Analysis templates.

Pictures and Graphs group

These commands insert report elements at the cursor. In a report template, the elements act as placeholders that report generation fills with data. Insert an Infrared Image before inserting related pictures or graphs in the same section.

Command

Purpose

Infrared Image

Inserts an infrared-image placeholder at the cursor. This placeholder supplies the source data for other report elements in the section.

Visual Image

Inserts a visual-image report element for the visual image associated with the section's source infrared image.

Profile

Inserts a temperature-profile graph. The source infrared image must contain a line object. Additional profile placeholders use the subsequent line objects.

Histogram

Inserts a histogram. The source infrared image must contain an area object. Additional histogram placeholders use the subsequent area objects.

All Pictures

Opens a dialog containing all picture and graph types supported by IRT Cronista.

Fields and Tables group

Use fields and tables to insert text and numeric data supplied by IRT Cronista. In a template, report generation replaces these elements with values from each source infrared image.

Command

Purpose

Table > Image Info

Inserts a configurable table of infrared-image properties.

Table > Analysis Info

Inserts a configurable table of measurement-object results, such as spot temperatures.

Table > Notations

Inserts a configurable table of image notations from the notations set stored in the document.

Field or Field > Insert Field

Inserts a field linked to image or analysis data. If the cursor is already in a report field, the command opens its settings.

Field > Insert Document Property Field

Inserts a field that displays a document property and is not linked to one infrared image.

Summary Table or Summary Table > Insert

Inserts a table with one row for each reported infrared image. If the cursor is already in a summary table, the command opens its settings.

Summary Table > Update

Refreshes the values in the selected summary table after report data changes.

Edit

Opens the settings for the selected report picture, graph, field, or table.

Delete

Deletes the selected report field or table. For a populated picture or graph, the first use clears its data; use the command again to delete the empty placeholder.
