Use the symptom that best matches the problem. Before changing the installation, save any open reports and confirm that the installed desktop version of Word opens, creates, and saves ordinary documents.
The Thermo Reports tab is missing in Word
The Thermo Reports tab can be hidden in Word or unavailable because the Thermo Reports add-in is inactive, disabled, or not installed.
Show a hidden tab
1.In Word, select File > Options > Customize Ribbon.
2.Under Main Tabs, select the Thermo Reports check box if it is available and cleared.
3.Select OK.
Enable the COM add-in
1.In Word, select File > Options > Add-ins.
2.Check whether ThermoReport Addin appears under active, inactive, or disabled application add-ins.
3.If it is inactive, select COM Add-ins in the Manage list.
4.Select Go.
5.Select the ThermoReport Addin check box.
6.Select OK.
If Word lists the add-in under disabled application add-ins, select Disabled Items in the Manage list, select Go, and enable ThermoReport Addin. Then restart Word and complete the COM add-in procedure above if necessary.
Reinstall the add-in
The IRT Cronista installer includes the ThermoReport add-in with matching bitness: 64-bit IRT Cronista includes the 64-bit add-in, and 32-bit IRT Cronista includes the 32-bit add-in. A ThermoReport add-in with different bitness appears as a separate entry in the Windows list of installed apps. You need to reinstall both IRT Cronista and the ThermoReport add-in:
1.Close Word.
2.Close IRT Cronista.
3.Open the Windows list of installed apps.
4.Uninstall IRT Cronista.
5.Uninstall all installed GRAYESS ThermoReport WordAddin packages.
6.Run the installer for the current version of IRT Cronista to install the app and the add-in.
7.Restart Word.
Report generation stops with an error
A report-generation error can result from a damaged Office installation, an add-in problem, or a problem in a specific report template.
1.Record the text under Error description.
2.Record the path shown under Error dump file.
3.Select Repair.
4.Confirm that IRT Cronista should start Microsoft Office Repair.
5.Complete the Office repair procedure.
6.Restart Word.
7.Restart IRT Cronista.
8.Generate the report again.
The built-in Repair action starts Office Quick Repair when that option is available. If the repair cannot be started or the problem continues, follow Microsoft's Office repair instructions.
Confirm that the installed Word version meets the system requirements. If the error occurs with only one custom template, test report generation with a supplied template. If the supplied template works, review the custom template as described in Report template structure.
If you contact technical support, provide the error description, dump file, IRT Cronista version, Word version and architecture, and the report template that caused the error.
The generated report contains no image data
A template without an Infrared Image placeholder produces an unchanged copy of the template. Add at least one Infrared Image placeholder to each template data section. See Report template structure.
Some report elements are empty or display "--"
An empty picture or graph, or a field that displays "--", normally indicates that the source image does not contain the data requested by that report element. Check the following:
·An associated visual image is available when the template contains a Visual Image placeholder.
·The source image contains the required line for a profile or area for a histogram.
·The measurement object and object index selected for a field or table exist in the source image.
·The Source IR image setting identifies the correct image in a multi-image report section.
·The notation field exists in the notations set stored in or linked to the report template.
For preparation guidance, see Generating reports using templates and Notations in reports.
The report contains fewer images than expected
Confirm that you generated the report for the intended image, selection, or folder and enabled Include images from subfolders when required. See Generating reports for an image, folder, or selection.
For image stacks, a template layout with too few infrared-image placeholders omits the remaining stack images. See Report templates for image stacks.
